Menu :: Alia :: A few handfuls of sand :: Drâa Valley
If the Sahara desert covers about 3.6 millions mi2, it is divided into many different areas. The Drâa Valley in Morocco (ⴷⴻⵔⵄⴰ or Derɛa in Tamazight, واد درعةin Arabic) corresponds to the region of the medium Drâa around Ouarzazate.
It allows the discovery of the different landscapes of the desert: ergs (dune fields), regs (stone deserts), oasis and arid areas are close to each other for a Saharan initiation.
